So I finally went out and bought some maternity clothes on friday. I made my friend Kathie come with me and we went to the maternity store. They did not have any cute clothes...I take that back. I found a cute skirt that I bought and then I got a 'tummy sleeve'. It's pretty much a little tube top type thing that you wear over your belly instead of your torso so you can wear your normal pants and this thing hides the fact that the pants aren't buttoned (or zipped...)...hehehe.
The jeans that they had at the maternity store were all about 3 inches too short for me...So I didn't buy any there but we went to Old Navy because our friend Heather said they had good maternity pants and they did! The had the pants in normal sizes (instead of just small medium and large) and they had short, regular and long too. I was very happy!!!
So there's my saga of maternity clothes so far...the tummy sleeve works wonderfully over my non-pregnant jeans and if it sticks out from under my shirts it just looks like a tank top.
Kathie and I ventured into Mervyns and all it's going out of business glory looking for maternity clothes (this was before we made our way to Old Navy). They did not have a maternity section anymore but we noticed that all the baby clothes were 70% off...so of course we went over there. I got about $75 worth of baby clothes for only $30!!! It was awesome! And no mom and dad...I didn't just buy things for Lowe! I bought some stuff for Dave and Lindsey's baby too!!! Kathie on the other hand bought stuff for Lowe and was like "Alright, I'm almost done shopping for your baby shower!" It was pretty funny...especially when she told me I was going to just forget about it between now and the baby shower!
So there was my fun friday of shopping at the mall...yeah to sales and maternity clothes that are cute and baby clothes for our little boy!!!

Aren't those belly tube tops a life-saver?!? And they really help right after you have him. I still use mine so you don't see skin when I nurse...it's great! I can't wait to see pictures of him!!!
I can't wait to see him!!! We're so excited!!! I love the tummy sleeve...genius!
Hey Becky! Congrats on the pregnancy. It's fun to hear about your shopping adventures. It's even more fun when you finally have little Lowe here and see how he grows! Check out my blog sometime. swingingmonkeygirls.blogspot.com
