So this little lamp has been causing me some grief and lost sleep for the past couple of weeks. It belongs to the nursery set that I want for Lowe's room. I had seen it at the Babies R Us over close to my house and didn't think much about it other than "I need to be sure to register for that as well as all the bedding." But to my dismay, when I went to register at the bigger Babies R Us across town, there was no lamp...not even a spot for it on the shelf! So my friends suggested to just add it to the registry online when I got home. I tried, but failed since the item could not be found anywhere!!! Tyler and I both Google searched the heck out of this little lamp but could not find it anywhere online. I had already revisted the Babies R Us that I had seen the lamp at originally. Now I know I wasn't going crazy because Tyler had been with me and had seen it too. So I was really sad because it was going to be the one and only piece of the nursery set that I wasn't going to have and anyone that knows me knows that this would haunt me everything I would go into Lowe's room!
So yesterday Tyler and I went again to the Babies R Us that we had seen the lamp in and tried one last time to find it. Once again it wasn't there but this time I actually asked someone about it (she just happened to be a manger type person). She looked through the stores search thing and found that the lamp had been discountinued; so this pretty much meant once a store was sold out, that was it. She said that although there weren't any in Tucson that the Tempe store had two but she wasn't sure if we wanted to drive that far for a lamp. I smiled and was like "My parents live there!!! Is there any way to put it on hold?!?!?!?" And the answer was yes!!! So we got that all set up and I joyfully called my parents to see if there was any way I could convince them to go pick up my little lamp.
I'm soooo greatful that they were willing to go pick up this lamp for me especially since it's not a neccessity to anything except my weirdness about wanting the complete nursery set...So yeah to that ordeal being over!!! Now I just get to wait until after the baby shower to see how much of the rest of the set I get! Yeah to parents who are sooo nice to help out their crazy daughter!!!

Oh the things we do for our kids!!! I hope you realize what you are getting yourself in for, you may think that boys aren't so demanding :) but some of them are so be prepared! (Ok so you weren't demanding about this lamp but you were kind of insistantly pleading and with you being pregnant we didn't have the heart to say no.) ;) Be grateful that Dad talked me out of jokingly telling you that the lamp we got doesn't look like the picture in your blog, he said I couldn't do that to a pregnant lady. It is a cute lamp, I hope that Lowe will appreciate all that we (us and you) went through to get the lamp!
Like I said, I'm really thankful you got me the lamp!!! You know how I get when I set my mind on something...
