New Job

So I've made it through the first two days of my new job...they were both in the classroom listening to lectures on info that I already knew from taking the new nurse orientation last summer before my student nurse externship! I've also worked at UMC for the last 5.5 years so I have not learned a single new thing but hey, I'm getting paid to go so that's about the only thing keeping me sane during those long days!

Thanks again to Amanda and Britt and Desiree for watching Lowe for me during those two days. I really appreciate it and it's a comfort to know he's with people I can trust to take good care of him. He says thanks too!!!

I'll be getting my first taste of the NICU on thursday and I'm kind of scared but hey, I've got to start somewhere! On Friday, I'll be doing a 12 hour shift...I haven't done one of those in a very long time so hopefully I'll make it through (Thanks Lindsey and Dave for taking Lowe on those days!). I think it's going to be great but hard at the same time because I'll be around a bunch of little babies while mine is not with me :( but at least I'll get to come home to him and know I've got a healthy little guy (not so little...he's 13.5 pounds!!!).

Thanks again to everyone who so willingly offered to watch Lowe for me! The babysitting in very appreciated!

Wow! Good luck with all of those changes! It's hard to leave your baby, but it makes you appreciate him even more when you get home! I can't believe how big Lowe is! What a cutie! He seriously almost weighs as much as Hayley! I'm so glad we're blogging buddies now!
