He Says It So Well

Tyler had the boys for a few hours the other night while I was at work and I guess Tyler told Lowe that Kingston was driving him (Tyler) nuts to which Lowe replied "No, he's driving a car."

Advice needed: Lowe has been getting out of his bed in the middle of the night and refuses to tell us what's wrong, why he's getting out and insists on coming in our bed with us. Any advice on how to get this to stop? We've tried a night light, taken the light away again because Lowe didn't like it, we've tried turning music on (which we do when he goes to bed initially), we've tried the door open and closed...etc...since we've already got Kingston getting up in the night we would really like Lowe to stay in his bed so any advice will be welcome!!!

No advice since Saku does the same thing. BUt at least you know you aren't alone. Nothing like two kids keeping you up at night:) One day we will sleep again...

Your little men are too stinkin' cute, Becky. I don't know if this helps, but in my house, Mom and Dad's bed is a no-go for the kids. They know that if they get up that there's nothing in it for them. No matter what, they get put back in bed. When we first had Millie, Adelle was confused when the baby woke her up at night. It started to affect her sleep pattern a bit. We talked about how babies need different things than big kids, and how the rules are not the same for babies. She learned to put herself back to sleep if it wasn't light outside. She initially shed a few tears of protest, but in the long run, she is much happier with sleep and stability -- and so am I! Good luck!

Once my babies are able to climb out of their crib I turn the lock around on their door and lock the door while they are sleeping. I can't sleep worrying about them getting up in the middle of the night and getting into things and hurting themselves and things like that. It works for us and my doctor said it's fine. :) It cuts down on them getting out of bed just because and if they need me they cry and I hear them. Good luck! Even with that I'm up at least a couple nights a week with one of the kids for something. It's so hard being tired.

Blaine is doing the same thing. Let me know what you find to stop it. 3-5x at night just opens his door and asks for daddy or mommy. not crying or anything.
