So on to the entire month of Novemeber...Which I can't believe is already over!!! On the 11th, Tyler and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. It's crazy to think we've been married for 5 years already!!! We're both college graduates, have good jobs and have the cutest little baby boy. I was joking with Tyler that when my parents had been married for 5 years (they were actually our same ages too I think) that they had 3 kids already!!!! Now that I can't imagine...
Tyler is the best husband any woman could ask for. He's better looking than Brad Pitt and Tyler just keeps getting more handsome. He's got the best brown eyes ever that I could just stare into forever...well, until he's like "What are you doing?" and then I'd have to stop ;) He's a great dresser so there's something I don't have to worry about! Tyler's also the best dad Lowe could ever ask for! They play and play and play and no one, not even I, can get Lowe to laugh like Tyler does.
We went to Idaho for Thanksgiving this year. It was in the low 40s for the highs...Brrr!!! Tyler asked if I wanted to do a 5k on Thanksgiving morning and said he was going to run it too so I said yes. A few days before we left for Idaho, Tyler decided not to run in it because he hasn't run in forever so it was just going to be me and Clyde (Tyler's dad) and the other 1000ish people running. I wore tights, sweatpants, two tank tops, arm warmers, a jacket, headband and gloves. When Clyde and I were driving over there, the warmest the car said it was outside was 26 degrees!!!!! So I couldn't feel my lips or nose at first, than my toes went...the feeling came back in those places but I never really regained the feeling in my fingers until I was back at the school (where the race started and finished). Brr!!!! I finished in 36:09. Not too fast but considering it was the first time I'd ever run that far without stopping and how cold it was, I'm soo proud of myself!!!
Tyler's kind of cut out of this picture but it's a cute one nevertheless...We took all the jackets Lowe has (3 of them) and he was perfectly fine when we were outside as long as we cuddled him close and had a blanket on him too.
Lowe got a lot of big boy food at Thanksgiving dinner. He loved the mashed potatoes so much that he didn't want to eat any of his baby food after getting a taste. This was fine with me but we've got a lot of it in the cupboard so hopefully he'll still eat some at some point in time...He got some sweet potatoes, a roll (which he demolished and probably got a few bites off of), turkey (although he's got no teeth yet, he still managed to gum it up enough to swallow it without choking or anything), and this yummy cool whip pudding yogurt raspeberry stuff. He was eating a bunch of that dessert salad stuff and started to nod off in his high chair. I stopped offering him bites and he just kind of slouched off to the side and closed his little eyes. It was so funny!!! I put my hand under his head and he just let it drop. We all laughed so hard. Silly little Lowe got too much food I guess!
So now I can't believe it's already December!!! I've got our Christmas tree up, lit and with the garland on. I just want new ornaments because I think most of the ones we've got are all way too small for the tree. We're going to put up lights on the outside of the house. This is something we never got around to last year...mostly because I was pregnant and not allowed to go up on a ladder and neither one of us really felt like figuring out how to get the lights up either since we'd only been in the house for a month and had other more important things to figure out!
There was also the Tour de Tucson. An Annual bike race/ride around Tucson the saturday before Thanksgiving. My parents came down and mom rode the 67 mile portion and dad and I rode the 35 miler. It was fun and yeah to all of us for finishing!!! I fell down the stairs in my house the day before and got a huge bruise on my arm that's still fading...ugly ugly bruise when it was at it's worst! I had to sacrifice my arm to save the baby...I was holding Lowe when I slipped off the edge of one of the stairs. Thankfully he was just startled and nothing more. My parents were in the house and mom came to the rescue. I'm still nervous everytime I carry Lowe down the stairs now...
Hopefully the next post won't be over a month from now!!! I need to try to post at least every other week if not every week...along with letters to Abram and Joseph...sorry boys!!!
Off to wrapping Christmas presents and decorating the house with Nativities!!! Woo Hoo to Christmas Time!!!!!
