Yeah to February

I am now 29 weeks pregnant. Only 11 weeks left to go!!!

So it's been two weeks since I posted on here last...I just don't really know what happened last week...oh well. These past two weeks have been really busy for me with my preceptorship in full swing. I've only got 4 more 12 hours shifts and one 6 hour shift left. That makes me kind of sad but happy at the same time. I just wish I were an RN already so that I could just have work and not have to worry about doing homework related to what I've done during my shift...sigh, it'll come soon enough. I just hope that all the mess with hiring freezes goes away soon so that I'll actually have a job once I've graduated...

I ended up having to go to the hospital on Wednesday to get rehydrated and some medicine...I got really really sick on Tuesday night and was up all night. I called my doctor's office and called their on call line and got instructions from the other doctor in the office to go to the triage area of the women's center at the hospital I'm going to deliver at. I ended up getting an IV through which I got 1.5 liters of fluid and some medicine to help me not feel too nauseous. I was able to take some sips of apple juice while there at the hospital and I felt a lot better than I did when we got to the hospital. We started to drive home but I had to have Tyler pull over because I got sick again...there went all the apple juice I had just drank! But I spent the rest of that day in bed, not really doing anything. I was finally able to keep down some saltines, chicken noodle soup and gatorade at dinner time.

It was quite the experience...I learned that when you're pregnant and get really really dehydrated, you start to have contractions!!! So now I know what they feel like and I don't really like it that much...especially since I've still got so long until I want to be having them!!!

My parents came down this weekend for Lindsey's baby shower. My mom and I went to the shower (which was loads of fun! Yeah to Lindsey...she get's to welcome her baby in the next 4 weeks and I have to wait another 11ish...). Tyler and dad went on a bike ride and had loads of fun...hehehe. Tyler had planned a 33 mile ride and since my parents got in really late the night before due to traffic, decided to cut it down by like 7 or 8 miles...but he forgot to take into account a couple miles and the shorter ride he thought he was taking them on ended up being only 2 miles shorter!!! So we all had a good laugh over that, the boys survived so it's all fine!!!

Tyler and I got a recliner to put in the baby's room and the crib is at the store...we just need to go pick it up and put it together!!! I'm so excited!!! Pictures to come I promise.
